Polka Dot and Plaid 4th of July Printables, for Celebrations/Cookouts

June 18, 2012 By Laura 6 Comments

Free printables for you!

2_pennants-4th-ofjuly-free-printable1

2021 NOTE – WE’RE SORRY, BUT THE FILES TO THESE PRINTABLES ARE NO LONGER AVAILABLE.  ๐Ÿ™

I have been having fun designing some 4th of July printables to share with you, to add a fun red, white and blue themed touch to any cookout or celebration you may have planned, with family and/or friends. (Or, you can even print the cute Bitty Pennants out and string up in your home!) These are the little details that make hosting a gathering so fun to plan, and also the details that impress your guests, and make them smile. So I hope you like them! I tried to design them with simple direction right on them, to show you how easy they can be to prepare.  But I will give you some printing tips, at the end here as well, after you look at the previews of the printables in this post.  But first . . . . . .

*IMPORTANT NOTE:  *Do NOT save the images of the printables you see below, but rather use the download links after the images at the end, for the full size printables.  What you see here are just low resolution previews, and not suitable for printing.

2_pennants-4th-of-july-free-printable

I must say, I think these Bitty Pennants are adorable!  I gave them some tabs, so they can be folded right over some thin ribbon or string, and then just secured with a little piece of tape.  If you choose to download the pennants, please note that you will need both Part 1 and 2.

cupcake-wrappers-free-printable These wrappers, designed for cupcakes, could possibly also be used around the bottom of those short clear acrylic cups, filled with fruit treat ideas like these.

red-white-blue-dish-name-cards-free-printable How cute would these little cards be, sitting tent-like on your food table in front of each dish, letting guests know what’s on the menu?

4th-july-free-printable Lastly, these cards I actually designed last year, but decided to offer them all to you again. They are a bit bigger cards, and print as a full 8.5 x 11 sheet. All you need to do is cut on the solid line, and fold on the dotted. You can hang them to spin on strings, put them tent like on the tables, or slide them under a glass table top. They are like birthday cards for America, and really remind everyone the reason for celebrating, and the gift that our freedom is.

Printing suggestions:  I recommend printing any or all printables at least on some good cardstock, as opposed to regular printer paper.  Be sure for each download you choose of the links below, that you choose the correct orientation for printing, as well as your highest quality printing setting!  Also, if you’d really like to get vibrant colors closer to what you see on your computers, try printing on matte photo paper.

With that, here are the download links, for the actual full-size printables. Just click on the link, and when the image comes up, right click, and ‘Save Image As’, to where you will be able to a location where you will find them on your computer. (Again, do not save and print the images above, or they will look terrible, and waste your ink and paper.)

I hope you enjoy these, as well as your celebrations of fun, food, family and friends!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, AMERICA!

4th of July Weekend/Part II/Parade & Fireworks 2010 | Plymouth, MA

July 15, 2010 By Laura Leave a Comment

4th-july-parade-fireworks-2010-plymouth-ma-americas-hometown-4

Most every year, we make it down to the Plymouth parade.  Being in America’s Hometown, it’s a big deal around here!  (As is Thanksgiving, and our parade for that.)

This year, it was HOT-HOT-HOT.  Full blazin’ sun, humid as anything, the works.  We enjoyed the majority of the parade, and then were all happy to cut out a little early, and get out of the sun!  It’s always a great parade though!

4th-july-parade-fireworks-2010-plymouth-ma-americas-hometown-9 The kiddos brought their American Pinwheels and Liberty Shakers they had made.  Other parents and kids were buying those $10.00-20.00 souvenirs off the carts,  but they were looking at ours, wondering where they could get those. ; )   {JM} also brought his Republican Beanie Baby elephant ‘Righty’.  I love that thing!

O.K….some parade photos…..

You see this guy?  They were saying he’s a very old veteran…..102 YEARS OLD! (Yes, one hundred and two).
WALKING in the parade?!! In the heat!? That’s what we kept hearing. Talk about impressive.

I have no idea who this fool is.

lol. Just kidding.  I mean…I really don’t know, but…

4th-july-parade-fireworks-2010-plymouth-ma-americas-hometown-7

I love corevettes, but {JM} asked me to take a photo of this car.  Not because it’s a vette, but because it’s purple.  It’s his other favorite color.  We may have another Donny Osmond on our hands.  (…….”I’m a little bit rock ‘n rollll…..”)

4th-july-parade-fireworks-2010-plymouth-ma-americas-hometown-8

This one the big boy asked me to take.  That would be Michael.  He loves GTO’s.  I think it’s petty nice too, but he likes some other old style cars, that I think are as ugly as sin.

So listen…….you know how some pre-teens might see, say……The Jonas Brothers, or one of those vampire guys, and freak out on the verge of tears of excitement, jumping up and down, just coming out of their skin with disbelief at seeing their idol with their own eyes?

That would be {A} when she saw this guy….

Scott Brown!!  (If you don’t know, {A} is prepping to be the next hot-and-ticked-off-enough-to-do-something-about it, politician.   She has talked frequently about a seat in the House Senate.  But today she was talking about her plan to have a bowl of pistachios in every room of the White House.  Anyway….NOT the best photo.  {A} like…RAN up to him in a nano-second and asked for a photo with him…..and he said it had to be FAST, because there was a trolley behind him.  And there was!  I had not a second, to adjust setting or get some fill-flash.  It KILLED me.  But to {A}…..this photo is a treasure.  I have not printed it out yet, for fear she will sleep with it under her pillow, or something.

That night we all went to the Plymouth fireworks, too. Someday, when my kids are older, I’ll really get into getting great firework shots.  But I really just want to enjoy my kids on exciting nights like this for them.  They sat on top of the car to watch this year.  The fireworks were happening all around us, actually….down on the beach, and out from the barge in the harbor.

Our whole weekend was just one blast, after another. ; )  (Oh brother….. O.K….sorry.  lol. )

It was far from over too.  Stay tuned, and tell us about your 4th!

4 Moments from Our 4th – July 2009

July 9, 2009 By Laura 6 Comments

Just 4 moments I loved from our 4th of July, 2009.

4kids

First, of course, is our kids.  Yes, they do huddle frequently for a shot together, because I ask them to, and they oblige me. However…they put themselves in this order most every time. The triplets always scramble around each other saying “Birth order, birth order!”.  And then {A} jumps on at the end. lol  Being the orderly person that I am, I don’t argue. : )  It rather pleases me, actually.

I can’t tell you how much I LOVE this next photo of {O}?…..

o_

“I LOVE THIS PHOTO OF {O}!”

Yes, she actually is that cool.  Those are my shades she has on. But she’s cool without them, too.

She has also lost that last front tooth, since this photo was taken.  PRAISE THE LORD!  The last of the trio’s top front teeth are all out.

Speaking of teeth…..here’s one to throw you…….

.

molars

This is {A}.  I can’t tell you how happy I was that this dang molar finally came out!!  It’s been bugging her for, I don’t know…months.   Is it any wonder why it bothered her so, now that we can see?  Look at the tooth that was already up underneath it.  All I can say is….Amen.

I have to mention…..we actually lost yet ANOTHER tooth in the house since these 2.   Yes…that would be 3 teeth in 5 days.  I think we’ve been losing a tooth every other day since winter, or something.  With triplet 6 year-olds and a pre-teen, that’s where we’re at in life right now.  I won’t freak you out, and tell you how we have to keep them all.

Just to help you get those disturbing images out of your head, I will leave you with what might be one of the sweetest American moments there ever was…….

grasshopper

Can you see what it going on there?  Need a closer look?  Ok…..

grasshopper_cu

My sweet, sweet, thoughtful boy, is feeding the grasshopper… a blade of grass.  It was taking bites, too!

<shaking head> If that’s not what America is all about, I don’t know what is.

Hope your 4th was full of moments to remember, too!
