Link-Up Party #12 @ Our House Of Joyful Noise & Hot Spotlights!

& HOT SPOTLIGHTS!

HaPpY TuEsDaY, Friends!

Some of you may have swung by here last Tuesday to link up some fine inspiration.  Only, there was no partyin’ happening!  We took an extended-long weekend for our oldest daughter’s birthday, and there just wasn’t room for setting up the link-party on the agenda.  However, we DID send out ample notice, via our Blog’s Facebook Page, as well as my Twitter. So…..if you ‘didn’t get that memo’, maybe you aren’t following us?  So we reckon now is as good a time as any, to be sure similar incidences don’t happen again.  ;-)

Options are a beautiful thing. Take your pick:

Our House…Facebook Page Twitter

They open in a new window, as do the following Hot Spotlights recipes/blogs, so don’t be afraid.  I say recipes because, yes, this features we chose to spotlight this week is all food.  Although some is for the birds.   So we’ll check these 4 shares out, and then we’ll be on to PaRtY #12 so YOU can link-up, and maybe get featured yourself.

Let’s start with dessert first, shall we?

Becky, from Fakin’ It, not only shared this refreshing & perfect summer treat, but she also shared the process right from the wicked amusing, very beginning, of picking the berries!  You’ve got to read it for a few chuckles. Check out Becky’s comical adventure with her kids, and how she made this delectable fruity sorbet.

Next we have this 7 Layer Salad, from Brittany at BeBe A La Mode Designs, and I was ‘so all over it’, we’ve made it already!! I added a couple things on the side, and what we had for ourselves, was a perfectly light summer dinner!  I’m telling you, even the kids were scoffin’ & commentatin’!  I’m going to do a little Vittles post of our own on our twist, but I’m giving the inspiration credit to Brittany right now!  Check hers out!

Now is it me, or could you just stare at this photo forever, and wish it was the real thing right in front of you? I want to indulge!  Spinach Stuffed Portabello Mushrooms.  Lord have mercy. We have not made this yet, but we will be!!  This awesome, mouth-watering visual of a photo, is from On Bramble Hill.

Birds need to eat too, right?? I thought this kid-craft Recycled Bird Feeder from Heck Fridays is clever and adorable!  I know my kids will love to make this!  But as I checked out the project, and started looking for the author’s name, I found myself at the About Page. Turns out, there are 2: Sisters, Joi & Erin.  I just loved their story, what drove them to have this blog together, and the inspiration behind it’s name.  I enjoyed reading it, and I hope you take the time too, as well.

And there we have it!  Time to roll out the party carpet!  Here’s our tag if you’re linking up, but a text link is fine as well.

I’d like to share some of my own most important creative projects in my life, that really comes alive in the summer/fall time of the year.  I’ve compiled a random mix of my high school senior photography work in a post in our Photography & Lettering section of the blog, and I’m liking it up this week. For the record, while I have loads of favorites from every session, the first photo of the mix, is one of my all-time personal portfolio favorites.  I hope you’ll have some time to check it them all out!
